Objectives
Students will be able to:
- Understand the conditions that soldiers were faced with as a result of life in the trenches
- Have a clear understanding of the health issues that effected many soldiers during World War 1
- Understand the main causes of these health issues and how they affected the lives of many soldiers
- Develop an understanding of the impact that the nurses played on the health of WW1 soldiers
- Able to identify and understand the psychological impact and effect of warfare

- Students use the knowledge they have gained in previous weeks to develop a visual research project detailing the diseases and health issues that soldiers faced during World War 1.

- What was the role of the nurses? How effective were they in providing treatment? Were there enough nurses to cater for the large number of soldiers?
- What are some of the psychological issues that many soldiers may have experienced? What may have caused this?
